Opening Reception: Saturday, April 8, 4 – 7pm

Protest Art
Saturday, April 8, from 4–8:30pm, Tsuga Fine Art invites you to a free opening-night reception for the “flash” show Protest Art, followed by a Resistance Poetry Reading with Rayn Roberts & Chris Jarmick from 7–8:30PM including an Open Community Mic. Combining protest, creativity, humor, anger, angst and unction, these courageous Protest Art artists invite us all to be a part of history, get involved and take part in our Democracy. The evening features light refreshments, thought-provoking art and good company. All are welcome.

Tsuga hosts the show from April 8 – 15; it then moves to Cascadia Community College, Saturday, April 15th – May 1, with an Opening Ceremony Tuesday, April 18, 4 – 6PM. The last stop for the exhibition is the American Art Gallery in Tacoma, where it will be on view for the month of July.

The following fine artists are proud to present their work: Norma Baum, Liana Bennett, Jennifer Bowman, Dennis Brandt (aka: ‘Whoretense’), Ellen Busteed, Kathy Collins, Monika Dalkin, Jan Flynn, Daniel Gonzales, Eden Hopkins, Aleli Howell, Lyla Jacobsen, Jannelle W. Loewen, Jane Meyer, Larey McDaniel, C.A. Pierce, Carol Ross, Amanda Rusch, Joanne Shellan and Yael Zahavey-Mittleman.
